Users
By default, Console uses Standard Authentication (i.e. an internal database) to store user names and passwords for authenticating to the Console. Console can also use Active Directory Authentication such that the user authentication to the Console is performed by an Active Directory server. Regardless of the authentication method, a user must be assigned to at least one Role to enable that user to login to the Console.
The Users page consists of three components:
- The Ribbon groups: Used to create, edit, manage, and organize the users.
- The User List group: The list of locally defined Console users.
- The Roles List Group: The list of locally defined Console roles.
