View Mode
In View mode, the report itself displays in the Report view. If the Suspend ribbon button is depressed, no data is displayed.
Each column of the report displays from left to right as they appeared from top to bottom in the Selected Columns list on the Columns tab of the Report Wizard.
Any column which has sorting on it displays an up arrow or a down arrow in the center of the column header indicating ascending or descending, respectively. No arrow indicates that the column is not sorted. You can change the sort of a column by clicking on the column header to cycle through ascending, descending and no sorting. When you click on a column header to change the sorting it removes any previous sorting from all other columns. You can sort multiple columns at the same time by holding down the shift key while selecting a sort. You can reorder the columns by clicking on the column header and dragging and dropping them to the left or right.
While it is possible to use the Filter Data function to apply additional filters to the report data, the results may not always create the desired effect - especially on reports with relationships. It is generally more effective to use the Filter function on the Filter tab of the Report Wizard.
Right-click within the report to display a dialog with the following options:
- Copy Current Cell: Copies the contents of the currently selected cell to the clipboard.
- Copy Current Row(s): Copies the contents of the currently selected row to the clipboard. Holding down the Ctrl key while clicking multiple rows allows you to copy all of the selected rows.
