Searching Emails for Personal Information

Spirion can search email messages and attachments for sensitive information. Emails include all email messages on your computer and their attachment files that can be read by Spirion. Spirion can read the following email types:

• Apple Mail
• MBOX formatted mail files

You can enable searching of email Messages by clicking the Emails button on the toolbar and selecting Enable Email Search. When the menu item is checked, it is enabled. You can also specify if you wish to search inside attachments.

Note: Spirion cannot search email that is not stored on your computer, that you use a web browser to read.

Additional Information

To view or modify Emails settings, click the Preferences button on the toolbar, then the Emails button. Alternatively, you can select Preferences in the Spirion menu and select Emails. For additional information on emails settings please refer to email Settings.
