Permissions Tab

The Permissions tab of the Report Wizard allows you set View and/or Edit permissions to specific roles.

If a role has the View permission, all users with that role are able to view the report. Only the specific data to which they have been granted access is displayed in the report. Therefore, two roles with View permissions to the report may obtain different reports even if they are executed at the same time.

If a role has the Edit permission, all users with that role are able to modify the report definition by using the Report Wizard. If you grant Edit permission to a role, that role is also granted View permission. After saving the permissions, the next time you edit that report you see that the View checkbox for that role has a check in it as well.

The data that a user is permitted to view in a report is controlled by granting permissions to tags. If a user does not have view permissions on any tags, the report could display with no data.
